VA facilities win 2021 Regional Federal Green Challenge Awards

VA facilities won two regional awards through the Environmental Protection Agency’s 2021 Federal Green Challenge awards program. Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) was recognized with a regional Innovation Award for starting to compost food waste and increased recycling, among other efforts. Sam Rayburn Memorial Veterans Center received a regional Leadership Award for their efforts, such as improving management of medication waste and leading Earth Day activities.
