Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Scorecards

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) recognizes that when conducting its primary mission, to care for our Nation’s Veterans and their families, it has a responsibility to ensure a healthy and sustainable environment for current and future generations.  As part of its ongoing commitment to make government more efficient and transparent, VA releases annual scorecards on sustainability and energy performance.  VA is committed to meet legislative and regulatory requirements and to build on our successes and address areas that need improvement.  This scorecard helps VA to achieve cost savings that may be reinvested in the VA mission, improve efficiency, and identify and track the best opportunities to reduce pollution.  VA is using those results as benchmarks and has incorporated them into its Strategic Sustainability Performance Plan (SSPP).
